Sarah was a member of the Northwest Nazarene women's track & field team from the 1991-92 to 1994-95 seasons. During her final spring with the Crusaders in 1995, Sarah took fourth in the heptathlon at the NAIA national outdoor meet to become NNU track & field's 10th All-American. She was also named an NAIA Academic All-American that season. Upon graduation, she held program records in the heptathlon (4511 points), 100-meter hurdles (15.18), and 400-meter hurdles (1:06.08). To this day, she remains on three NNU outdoor top ten lists at third in the heptathlon, eighth in the 100-meter hurdles, and tied for ninth in the long jump (5.37m, 17'7.25"). At the conclusion of her NNU career, Sarah was also awarded two of NNU's prestigious end-of-the-year honors - the L.E.S. Women's Track Award and the Hopkins-Humphrey Female Athlete of the Year Award.

Professional Achievements
Sarah earned a Master’s in Theology and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Fuller Theological Seminary. She completed her doctoral internship year at the Medical University of South Carolina, followed by a post-doctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology at UCLA. Following her post-doc, she has taught at Point Loma Nazarene, Fuller’s Graduate School of Psychology, and is now an Associate Professor at NNU teaching undergrad and graduate Psychology classes. She also works as a clinical neuropsychologist at St. Luke’s/Elks Rehabilitation Hospital in Boise. Sarah is married to NNU basketball alum Joel Marion, and they have two children, Jayden (sophomore at NNU at the time of Sarah's induction) and Alyse (senior at Nampa Christian with plans to attend NNU as well).
