Lisa was a member of the NNC volleyball team from 1996-99, helping the Crusaders to the highest-ever finish in program history with an NAIA National Runner-Up achievement in 1998.

She was named a First Team NAIA All-American in the following 1999 season, one of just five athletes in program history to earn a First Team All-America honor. She was also named All-Region in 1998 and 1999, All-Tournament Team in 1998, 1998-99 Cascade Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year, First Team All-Cascade Conference in 1998 and 1999, and Honorable Mention All-Cascade Conference in 1997.

In Northwest Nazarene's combined side-out and rally scoring history (since 1973), Lisa is the all-time leader in three categories: total assists with 5,260 in her career, assists per set at 11.60, and service aces with 237. She is fifth in program history in career digs with 1,449, sixth in sets played at 454, and seventh in attack percentage at .303. To this day, she also remains the all-time Cascade Conference leader in both assists and service aces. In CCC single-season history, she is still first and sixth in most assists in a season and second and fourth in most aces in a season, as well a single-match Top-10 mark with 72 assists in a match in the 1997 season.

Following her final season on the court, Lisa also earned one of Northwest Nazarene's prestigious end-of-the-year honors, receiving the Hopkins-Humphrey Female Athlete of the Year accolade for 1999-2000 year. She was also a three-time recipient of the Bennett Volleyball Award, presented to the most outstanding player on the team each season.

Lisa earned her Bachelor's in Education with an Emphasis in Physical Education (K-12) and Biology (6-12) from Northwest Nazarene. She is now just a few credits away from a Master's in Physical Education from Central Washington University.

Lisa began her career in teaching after graduation, and has taught 23 years of Elementary Physical Education in the Nampa School District (Greenhurst and Owyhee), Nampa Christian Schools, and now currently with the Middleton School District at Mill Creek Elementary. She has also coached with Skyview High School as a varsity volleyball assistant, NNU as a volleyball assistant, Skyview as a varsity tennis assistant, and with various volleyball clubs in Idaho over the last 25 years.

She has been able to continue competing athletically following her volleyball career, as she currently plays USTA Tennis at the 4.5 level and has won Idaho district championships and traveled to Denver and Salt Lake for sectional championships.

Lisa has been married for 23 years to Jared Sliger, the previous NNU Head Volleyball Coach from 2005-12. The pair currently reside in Middleton, Idaho, and have two children, daughter Paxton Sliger (born Sept. 2009) and son Fletcher Sliger (born March 2011).
