NNU Career
Bud set school records in the 100-yard dash, 220, 440, the low hurdles and all four relay teams. His record of 21.54 seconds in the 220 yards, set in 1964, lasted nearly 50 years before it was broken in 2013. He competed in the national NAIA meet in both 1961 and 1963, finishing eighth in the 400 and the 220 low hurdles.

Personal & Professional Achievements
After graduating in 1966, he taught at Nampa High School, South Junior High School, and Skyview High School in Nampa, Idaho. Bud also worked as a counselor in vocational rehab for the state of Idaho. He earned a Master’s Degree from the University of Kansas.
