NNU Career
Over the course of her career at NNU, Julie payed exactly 100 games and averaged 11.9 points per game, 7.8 rebounds per game, and shot 51.7% from the field. At the time of her induction, she was fourth in NNU Women’s Basketball history with 103 career blocks, seventh with 777 career rebounds, tenth with a 7.8 rebounding average, tenth with 469 career field goals, and tenth with 357 career free throw attempts. She also held the ninth-best mark for blocks in a season with 40 in 1987-88 and the 10th-best single season field goal percentage (55.5%) in 1985-86. She also won the Salisbury Basketball Award in 1988. 

 

Personal & Professional Achievements
Julie, a native of Nampa who graduated from Nampa Christian High School, led the Crusaders in rebounding three of her four years, making a tremendous impact in her career. Her play on the court earned her a place in the Cascade Collegiate Conference Hall of Fame and she appears numerous times in the NNU record books. As she transitioned from player to coach, Julie has seen success at every level. A 2014 inductee into the Trevecca Nazarene University Athletic Hall of Fame, Julie Posted a career coaching record of 162-119 in her nine seasons at TNU, leading Trevecca into the NAIA National Tournament in just her fourth season. Julie was honored with the 2004 NNU Leon Doane Young Alumni Award, which recognizes young people with Christian character, demonstrated leadership, professional endeavors, and support of their alma mater. As the women’s basketball coach at Seattle Pacific University, she has a career coaching record of 391-205 heading into the 2017-18 season. In her 11 years at SPU her teams have reached the NCAA DII West Regional Tournament seven times. Julie and her husband, Randy, live in Seattle.
