The NNU Athletic Communications staff coordinates the publicity of all 17 NNU athletic teams, including press releases, publications, statistical information, photography, video, live streaming, the maintenance of NNUsports.com and all official department social media channels. The office is located in room 220 in the suite on the second floor, northeast corner, of the Johnson Sports Center.

Policies

Media Credentials
Requests for media credentials should be directed to Assistant AD for Communications Josh Burkholder via email no later than 24 hours prior to an event, as working space at press boxes or the scorer's table may be limited. For regular-season contests, NNU Athletics does not create physical credentials - you will simply be added to the pass list and just need to check in with your name at the ticket table when you arrive at the venue. For GNAC Championships or NCAA Championships events hosted by NNU, physical credentials will be created and instructions for distribution/pick-up will be given to each requestor.

Please specify in the credential request message:
1. What outlet you work for (if applicable). 
2. If you will bringing a photographer, videographer, or radio, or taking on one or more of those duties yourself. 
3. If you are requesting multiple credentials, the first and last names of all requested individuals.
3. If you would like a seat at the scorer's table (basketball, volleyball) or press box/auxiliary press area (soccer, baseball, softball)
4. If you would like wired internet access (Ethernet). The guest WiFi is available at all venues except softball. 

Interviews
All requests for player and coach interviews must be made through the athletic communications staff. Players and coaches will be available following a 10-minute "cooling off" period after each home game. For non-postgame interviews, the athletic communications staff will work with the media member to schedule either an in-person interview (likely around a practice time), an online interview through platforms such as Zoom or Google Meet, or a phone interview.

Practices
Please contact the athletic communications staff for specific policies regarding attending practices for each sport. Most practice sessions can be open to media coverage, but please make sure to contact the athletic communications office at least 24 hours in advance if you plan to attend a practice. That way, we can confirm availability and times with our coaching staffs. 

Press Releases
Every press release that is distributed by NNU Athletics is available via email. To be added to the media distribution list, please send an email request to Assistant AD for Communications Josh Burkholder.

Photos
Please contact the athletic communications staff for photos for media use. Unless otherwise specified, please credit NNU Athletics for each photo.
