Nighthawks With an Impressive Ten Run Victory Over CSPU, 12-2

NAMPA, ID. - The Nighthawks had an impressive showing in game one of this four game series against Colorado State Pueblo as the NNU offense would show up once again for their day one starter, Dillon Eden

Dillon Eden would turn it around from last weekend's shaky start, as Eden would go an impressive seven innings only allowing four hits across his full outing. Dillon would allow only two runs coming across in the top of the sixth inning as a double followed by a fly ball sent into the 25mph jetstream that ended up being pushed over the fence in left center for a two run home run.

This would be the only runs that the Thunderwolves would be able to push across, as Eden would get through the sixth inning cleanly, followed by a clean inning from Landen Parker. Dillon Eden would finish the day with 7..0 Innings pitched, four hits allowing two runs, striking out seven batters while only walking two on his way to the win.

NNU's offense continued to be on fire as the offense would push across 12 runs on thirteen hits. Leading the way for the Nighthawks offense was Kaleb Karpstein as he went 2-2 with a walk and two hit by pitches. Karpstein would score three runs while driving in two of his own on the day.

Carter Walsh also had a great day as Walsh would go 3-5, hitting a double and stealing a base as he would go on to score one run and drive in a run as well. The long ball continued to be in effect for the Nighthawks offense as they had two once again today, and Kyle Becker would hit a solo shot in the fifth and Adrian Arechiga would crush one 400 feet to left field to end the game in the eight because of a pre-determined 10 run mercy rule by the head coaches.

Nighthawks move to 12-7 on the season, as they look to add three more to that win column as NNU will face off against the Thunderwolves three more times over the weekend. First pitch tomorrow is

scheduled for 2pm as there will be two seven inning games played tomorrow here on Elmore W. Vail field.
