Nighthawks Ranked 19th in National Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The most recent United Soccer Coaches Poll has been released and the NNU men's soccer team is ranked 19th.

This is the first time NNU has been in the top-25 since the 2023 season where they were ranked sixth in the preseason after advancing to the Elite Eight in the 2022 season.

The Nighthawks enter the poll with a 6-1-3 overall record and 1-0 in GNAC play. They're coming off the biggest win of the season against No. 10 Seattle Pacific where they defeated the Falcons with a 3-2 comeback win where Caleb Putney scored twice and Rylan McPherson made a loud return from injury with the game winner in the 77th minute.

That was NNU's second win over a ranked opponent this season as they defeated No. 12 Fort Lewis with a 1-0 decision.

Seattle Pacific falls out of the top-25 but is still receiving votes.

NNU will continue GNAC play against Western Washington on Thursday and Simon Fraser on Saturday.
