Women's Soccer Picked 6th in Preseason Poll

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Great Northwest Athletic Conference has release the preseason coaches poll for women's soccer. Northwest Nazarene was tabbed sixth with 26 points. Western Washington and Simon Fraser tied with 60 points and four first place votes each.

The Nighthawks finished last season with a 5-1-2 overall record and a 4-8-2 conference record, finishing in fifth place under Jenny Jaggard in her first year at NNU. 

NNU finishes behind Central Washington with 31 points and ahead of Montana State Billings with 18 points. The Nighthawks are currently 0-1-0 after a hard fought 1-0 loss to Dominican (Calif.) earlier this week. They will regroup to face Menlo College (Calif.) on Saturday with kickoff scheduled for 11 AM PT. They will start conference play on Sept. 17 against Western Washington and start their home stand against Saint Martin's on Sept. 24.
