NAMPA, Idaho - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has announced the All-Academic awards for the 2026 indoor and outdoor track & field seasons.
Both the men's and women's teams were recognized as USTFCCCA All-Academic with the men posting a 3.34 grade point average and the women's program posting a 3.67 grade point average.Â
10 athletes were recognized as well.
Evan Bennett,
Brody Kemble, Grady Myland,
Ian Stockett, and
Laurenz Waldbauer were honored on the men's side while Maddie Gebers,
Hazel Kunkel,
McKenna Lechner,
Zoey Stauffer, and Keelin Stewert were honored on the women's side.Â
Additionally,
Laurenz Waldbauer was named the USTFCCCAÂ Men's Outdoor Field Scholar Athlete of the Year. Waldbauer finished this season with a 4.0 grade point average while winning the GNAC Championship and NCAA Divison II National Championship in Javelin.
The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Team Academic Award recognizes programs that achieve a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher, calculated using all student-athletes listed on the institution's NCAA squad list and certified by the institution's registrar. Individual All-Academic honors are awarded to student-athletes who maintain at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA, are academically eligible during the championship season, and meet one of several athletic benchmarks, including ranking among the nation's top performers, qualifying for or competing at the NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championships, or competing on a nationally ranked relay team.
