NAMPA, Idaho - Carter Walsh and Corbin Talley were named to the All-West Region team by the Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA). Talley was named the region's top pitcher.

Corbin Talley was named the D2CCA West Region Pitcher of the Year after a dominant 2026 season. The lefty from Jones, Oklahoma led the GNAC with a 3.30 ERA and a perfect 11-0 record in 14 starts. Talley recorded three shutouts and four complete games to secure a GNAC Pitcher of the year selection, GNAC First-Team, NCBWA West Region Pitcher of the Year, and NCBWA First-Team selection. In 79 innings pitched, Talley struck out 104 batters while holding opponents to a .245 average. Talley received 17 of 21 first place votes.

Carter Walsh added another accolade with a first-team selection after being named the GNAC Player of the Year. Walsh hit .357 this season and hit eight home runs, which is tied second in the GNAC. He was dangerous on the bases, stealing a conference leading 36 bases in 40 attempts. Walsh has played in all 57 games so far this season, starting in 56 of them. The junior from Boise, Idaho led the GNAC in hits with 85 but the loudest hit came in the top of the ninth against Cal State Monterey Bay in the second game of the NCAA Regional Round. With two outs, down by two, Walsh launched a go-ahead homer to take the lead and eventually win the game to propel the Nighthawks to the NCAA Super Regional Round.

Other GNAC players earning a spot on the list includes MSUB's Jack Nehler and Western Oregon's Chris Arce. Zach Samayoa from Cal State San Marcos was named the region's Player of the Year, receiving nine of the 22 first place votes and homering 23 times.
