NAMPA, Idaho - The NCBWA has announced
Gavin Brubaker as this week's Player of the Week.
Brubaker played a pivitol role in the Nighthawks' third straight GNAC Championship. He launched three homers with 12 RBIs.
Those home runs were his first homers of the year as NNU defeated Montana State Billings 10-5, Western Oregon 18-4 and then beat them again in the championship, 7-6.
Brubaker is now hitting .380 this season which leads the team and is fourth in the GNAC.
NNU will travel west to Seaside, Calif. where they will play Cal State San Marcos and Cal State Monterey in the NCAA DII West Regional starting Thursday, May 14.
