SPOKANE, Wash. - NNU Track & Field traveled North to Spokane for the Whitworth Peace Invitational. The meet boasted a strong field representing all levels of intercollegiate athletics ranging from junior college to NAIA to NCAA divisions one, two, and three. This was NNU's last scheduled meet in Washington until the GNAC outdoor championships (May 4-5).

Distance shines
Senior
Brody Kemble set a new venue record and won the men's 5k with a new personal best and school record time of 14:06. Not far behind in fifth place was
Grady Mylander (14:18).
In the women's 5k Morgan Erler placed first with a personal best time of 16:53. Erler's time is the new NNU women's record at 5000 meters. Teammate Cameron Moore placed fourth (17:20). Junior Mckenna Lechner ran her personal best 5k (18:01).
The men's distance team also looked strong at 1500m with the Stockett brothers claiming the top two positions. Luke Stockett won the race (3:49) with
Ian Stockett (3:52) taking second. Senior
Quincy Ellis ran a personal best (4:09). Â
In the women's 1500 Zoey Stauffer ran a personal best (4:41) and finished ninth overall.
At 10k
Asher Ingram placed second (32:12).
In the women's Steeplechase senior Keelin Stewart placed seventh with a season best time (11:54). For the men
Micah Chi ran his season best 3k steeple (9:54).
In the women's 800 freshman Hazel Kunkel ran a personal best (2:12) and finished third. For the men freshman
Grant Petty ran his season best (1:58).

Hurdlers place
In the 400m hurdles senior
Anderson Kron ran a season best (55:00) and placed third. Freshmen
Jaden Booker (59:16) and
Luke Hanson (59.18) also ran personal best times.
Sophomore hurdler Maddie Weatherford ran her personal best (1:05) in the 400m hurdles. Weatherford also ran a personal best (15:38) in the 100m hurdles.
In the men's 110m hurdles
Anderson Kron finished fifth with his best time of the season (15:03) and
Luke Hanson ran a new personal best (15:59).

Sprinters make strides
For the sprint group freshman Celia James continued her promising season with a new personal best in the 400m (57:39) and an eighth-place finish.  Meg Woodbury ran a new personal best (1:01). For the men freshman
Liam Myers ran his personal best 400m (51.12).
In the men's 200m freshman Giovanni Carlino finished eighth.

Throwers represent
In the throws freshman Madilyn McCarty finished fifth in the discus (40.78). Freshman Emily Lewis had her season best throw (34.73).
In the men's discus freshman
Thor Kessinger finished eighth (45.32).
In the women's javelin Maddie Gebers was third (43.22).
