First Pitch Pushed Back for This Weekend

| By:

NAMPA, ID. - As the Nighthawks gear up to play a four game series against non-conference opponent Colorado State Pueblo, mother nature has decided to give us some classic Idaho weather. Because of heavy winds expected to be at gusts above 20mph, it has been decided to push start times back for Thursday's game, and Friday's double header.

The first game of the series will be pushed back three hours to start at 4pm here local time instead of at one. This first game is scheduled to be a full nine inning game so you as a fan can expect it to run around two and a half to about three hours.

Because of a push back on Thursday, and some winds also expected around midday Friday, Friday's double header will be pushed back a couple hours to 2pm Friday afternoon. Both games of the double header will be only seven innings, so you can expect both games to run close to two and a half hours. Game time for game two of the doubleheader will start approximately 30 minutes after the final out is recorded in game one.

Saturday's nine inning game is still starting at the original time, noon on Saturday. So first pitch will be at 4pm on March 5th. Followed by a double header on Friday the 6th starting at 2pm, and game two starting half an hour after the final out. And finally on March 7th the fourth and final game of the series will be played at noon.

We hope to see you there as the Nighthawks look to make another run at the Division 2 World Series once again this year as they look to improve their 11-7 record this weekend on Elmore W. Vail Field.
