Talley Earns NCBWA Pitcher of the Week Honors

| By:

NAMPA, Idaho – After a dominant performance on the mound, Northwest Nazarene's Corbin Talley has been named the NCBWA Pitcher of the Week, highlighting a standout outing that helped lead the Nighthawks to a key conference series win over Montana State Billings.

Talley delivered his best performance of the 2026 season in Friday's nightcap, going the distance in a seven-inning complete-game shutout. The left-hander held the Yellowjackets to just three hits while striking out a season-high 10 batters. He allowed just three walks, surrendering only six total baserunners across the full seven innings.

His command and presence on the mound set the tone, as he consistently worked ahead in counts and limited opportunities for MSUB to generate offense. The outing marked his first double-digit strikeout performance of the season and continued a strong stretch in conference play.

With the performance, Talley now leads the GNAC with a 2.10 ERA and 48 total strikeouts, while also holding opponents to a .197 batting average across 34.1 innings pitched this season.

Talley's effort played a major role in securing the series win for the Nighthawks, who continue to build momentum as the conference schedule heats up.

Northwest Nazarene will look to carry that momentum on the road next week as they travel to Central Washington to continue GNAC play.
