Nighthawks Name First-Ever NCAA Men's Lacrosse Captains

| By:
Nampa, Idaho — Northwest Nazarene University men's lacrosse has officially announced the program's first-ever NCAA team captains. Sophomores Colton Altimus and London Talbott, along with senior Brayden Reinsch, have been selected to lead the program as it continues its transition and growth at the NCAA level.

Head coach Tom Blanchard emphasized the importance of setting the right standard with the program's inaugural NCAA leadership group.

"Getting our first NCAA leadership group right was important to us, during the course of the fall season we were observing a short list of players and how they performed both on and off the field; we wanted to make sure that our leadership group embodied all the things we value as a program, and we feel like these young men will do a great job of leading our program into the future."

Sophomore Colton Altimus has emerged as a steady presence within the program, earning respect through his consistency, work ethic, and competitive approach. Known for leading by example, Altimus has set the tone in practices and games alike, demonstrating the accountability and commitment the Nighthawks aim to establish as a standard.

Joining him is fellow sophomore London Talbott, whose energy and passion have made an immediate impact on the culture of the team. Talbott is a respected voice amongst the team, a vocal leader with an approachability to him that helps strengthen the unity within a young and developing core.

Senior Brayden Reinsch rounds out the captaincy group, bringing experience and a steady voice to the role. As one of the program's upperclassmen, Reinsch helped in setting the team culture the past two years.

Together, Altimus, Talbott, and Reinsch represent a balanced leadership group—one built on effort, character, and trust. Their selection reflects Northwest Nazarene's commitment to developing leaders who exemplify the values of the university and the men's lacrosse program.

Nighthawks will open their inaugural NCAA season on the road when they visit Quincy University on Thursday, February 26th.
