PORTLAND, Ore. - The GNAC released the results of the 2025 Women's Soccer Preseason Coaches Poll on Tuesday, with Northwest Nazarene picked fifth out of the eight teams.
NNU earned 27 points in the poll, just edging out Montana State Billings by one point for the fifth slot. Western Washington was picked to repeat as champs, followed by Simon Fraser, Seattle Pacific, and Western Oregon to round out the top four.Â
Led by first-year head coach
Jenny Jaggard, the Nighthawks will look to bounce back from their tied for sixth finish in the 2024 season.
The Nighthawks have their home opener tonight, Aug. 26, hosting College of Idaho in an exhibition match at 4:30 p.m. NNU will be on the road for the rest of the non-conference schedule before returning to Nampa to open GNAC play against Western Washington on Sept. 25. The GNAC Championships, which the top four teams will qualify for, are set to take place from Nov. 13-15 at Simon Fraser's SFU Stadium in Burnaby.
