BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Northwest Nazarene women's soccer dropped a 3-1 decision on the road at No. 14 Western Washington on Thursday night.
The Nighthawks move to 3-7-1 overall and 2-4-1 in GNAC play.
The Vikings scored their first two goals early, coming in the fourth and 10
th minutes. The third WWU tally also came before halftime in the 32
nd minute.
NNU was able to get one on the board in the second half, cutting the deficit to 3-1 in the 65
th minute. WWU played the ball back to their keeper in the box, and she attempted to clear it out to a teammate by
Attie Jo Westbrook stepped in front of the pass and deflected it into the goal.
The Nighthawks will now return home to host Central Washington this Saturday at 12:30 p.m. in Nampa.
