BILLINGS, Mont. – Northwest Nazarene women's soccer broke a deadlock in the 68
th minute to defeat Montana State Billings 1-0 on Thursday night.
The Nighthawks improve to 3-4-2 in GNAC play and 4-7-2 overall.
The teams combined for 11 shots in the opening half, but only four of those were put on target.
NNU's goal came just over 20 minutes into the second period, when the Nighthawks earned a free kick from about 35 yards out on the near sideline.

The Nighthawks withstood 21 total shots from the Yellowjackets, with
Alex Barrass recording eight saves in the shutout.
NNU will now visit Seattle Pacific in a pivotal matchup on Saturday, with the Falcons currently in fourth in the GNAC standings at 15 points, four ahead of the Nighthawks in fifth. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m. Pacific in Seattle.
