AUSTIN, Texas - The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the 2024 Baseball Academic All-America Teams on Tuesday morning, with Northwest Nazarene's
Kyle Ethridge earning the prestigious recognition.
Ethridge is the third player in NNU baseball history to be named an Academic All-American, joining teammates John Gonzalez and Ben Johnson in 2021. The senior is also the 13th student-athlete in NNU's DII history to earn the honor.
The Criminal Justice major earned Second Team honors at pitcher with a cumulative 3.89 GPA across his five years in Nampa. He is the only GNAC representative on the three teams and is joined by a pair of Point Loma Sea Lions, Scott Anderson and Dylan Miller, as representatives from the West Region.
This academic honor concludes a slew of awards for Ethridge this season, including consensus All-Region honors at starting pitcher and the GNAC Pitcher of the Year accolade.
