PORTLAND, Ore. - The GNAC announced the 2024 Volleyball All-Conference teams on Tuesday afternoon, with Northwest Nazarene's Maren Machado and Abby Black earning honors.

In her final season in Nampa, Machado garnered her first all-conference recognition with a First Team accolade. Black, a redshirt sophomore, was named Honorable Mention.

After the conclusion of the regular season last weekend, Machado appears in the conference top 10 in multiple categories: seventh with 2.87 kills per set, fifth with 42 aces, tied for 9th with 3.32 digs per set, and sixth with 3.37 points per set. She led the team in kills, aces, and points, and was second in digs. She registered double-digit kills in 18 matches with a season-high of 23 at Western Oregon on Sept. 21., and notched double-digit digs in 19 matches with a season-best of 23 happening twice. Fourteen of those contests saw her finish with a double-double in kills and digs. 

Black also finished in the top 10 in the conference in kills per set, ranking eighth with 2.85 on the year. She was also tied for 14th with 3.06 points per set. She hit season-highs of 23 kills twice, first against Alaska Fairbanks on Oct. 12 and again against Western Washington on Nov. 16. She was also fifth on the team with 40 blocks.
