ELLENSBURG, Wash. - Northwest Nazarene men's basketball was not able to keep up with Central Washington on the road Saturday night, falling to the Wildcats 82-58.

The Nighthawks fall to 8-7 overall on the season and 4-3 in GNAC play.

Central started well at home with the first seven points of the game and would extend their lead to 16-6 after six minutes of action. NNU cut the lead to five at 16-11, but the Wildcats went on another run to make it 25-13 with 10 minutes before halftime.

The CWU lead stayed in double digits until a
Tru Allen layup cut it to nine, 30-21, with 3:50 remaining in the opening period. NNU kept battling, and a
Yaru Harvey triple to beat the buzzer brought the deficit down to seven at 36-29 at the break.

Christian Rose opened the second half with a layup to cut the CWU lead to five, but that was as close as NNU would get for the rest of the game. The Wildcat advantage hit double digits a few minutes later, and would continue to extend their lead for the rest of the game before taking the 82-58 win.

Tru Allen led the Nighthawks with 13 points, four rebounds, and four steals.
Aaron Murphy added 11 points and six boards.

NNU returns home to Nampa next week, hosting Simon Fraser on Thursday and Western Washington on Saturday.
