NAMPA, Idaho – The National College Baseball Writers of America (NCBWA) released the All-Region Teams for Division II baseball on Wednesday, May 17.
Ty Pohlmann stands apart as the Nighthawks' only player to receive a West Region honor with a First Team nod.
Pohlmann finished the season with a 1.27 earned run average and 1.08 WHIP in 35.1 innings pitched with 59 strikeouts. He allowed seven runs on the season with five of them earned. Opponents hit .148 off Pohlmann in his 17 appearances.
Pohlmann finished the season as the GNAC Co-Pitcher of the Year, as well as earning a First Team All-GNAC honor. He earned GNAC Pitcher of the Week for his performances from March 13-19 when he threw 3.1 innings against Central Washington without allowing a run or a hit and collected nine strikeouts.
He is the fifth relief pitcher in NNU history to get All-Region honors.
