BILLINGS, Mont. – Northwest Nazarene dropped two games to Montana State Billings on Friday. MSUB took game one by a score of 8-4, and game two by a score of 2-0.
The Nighthawks are now 18-22 overall and 12-10 in GNAC play.
Game 1
Despite scoring in four frames, NNU fell to the Yellowjackets. MSUB scored three runs on six hits in the bottom of the 1
st inning to jump out to an early lead.
The Nighthawks scored one run in four separate frames but were never able to gain a lead in the game.
NNU catcher
Quentin Ayers took part in three of the Nighthawks four runs with two sacrifice flies and he scored one run after leading off the 5
th inning with a double.
Game 2
Jonathan Zayas started on the bump for NNU in game two. He threw 4.1 innings, allowed four hits, and struck out five batters.
The only two runs of the game came in the bottom of the 5
th inning. One of the two runs was earned.
Ty Pohlmann entered after Zayas and threw 0.2 innings, striking out both batters he faced.
Shane Martin threw the 6
th inning for NNU. He struck out two batters and got the other one to ground out.

The Nighthawks look to bounce back with two games against MSU Billings tomorrow.
