KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The United Soccer Coaches organization announced their 2023 Division II Women's Soccer All-Region teams on Tuesday night, with Northwest Nazarene's Makayla Roggow earning a Third Team recognition in the West Region following her final year in a Nighthawks uniform.

With a First Team All-GNAC honor already in her trophy case from this season, Roggow was one of 11 GNAC members selected for the All West Region awards.

Roggow was the leader of NNU's back line in 2023, playing in all but one minute of 17 games this season. The defense recorded an impressive 0.78 goals against average, second in the GNAC to Western Washington's 0.68. She also helped the defense register nine shutouts, also second in the conference.

Roggow would also transition to the offensive attack on set pieces, recording two goals this season including the game-winner with NNU's second tally at Saint Martin's on Nov. 2. After five seasons in Nampa, she now leaves the program as the career leader in games played with 84 and minutes played with 6,982.
