NAMPA, Idaho – Northwest Nazarene women's soccer had little trouble with Central Washington on Saturday, scoring once in the first half and three times in the second for a 4-0 victory.
NNU improves to 8-1-3 on the year and 6-0-2 in the GNAC, running their unbeaten streak to 10 games with eight wins and two draws.
How It Happened
The Nighthawks got on the board first in the 27
th minute, as
Ashley Parton took the ball up the right side, crossed over two defenders, and fired a strike past the keeper's right side for the goal.
Just after the start of the second half,
Madison Grande received a pass from
Alejandra Jaramillo near the midfield, took a few dribbles, and launched a shot from 30 yards out that went up and over the keeper and into the top of the goal to make it 2-0.
In the 60
th minute, the Nighthawks were on the attack again as
Sierra Sanchez had the ball on the far side and slotted it across the top of the box to
Yacine Bitibale. Bitibale took one dribble to her right and fired a low laser past the keeper's left side for the third goal of the match.
NNU wasn't done, as just two minutes later

Allison Wolf in the box for the final goal of the 4-0 win.
Nighthawks Notes
- NNU has still not lost a game since August 27th when they fell 2-0 to Holy Names on the road, winning eight of the last 10 and taking draws in the other two contests
- The Nighthawks had 15 shots to the Wildcats' six (7-3 on goal)
- Montoya made two saves in just under 70 minutes in goal before giving way to Bailey Blancett, who recorded one save in the final 20
- Parton keeps moving up the NNU record books, as she is now in sole possession of second all-time at NNU with 23 career goals and second with 55 career points
- Grande extended her GNAC-leading goals total on the year to seven, with Parton just behind in second at six
- NNU had seven different players record a point in the match, with four different goal scorers and three different assisters
