NNU Falls to #15 Western Washington in Four Sets

NAMPA, Idaho - For the second-straight match, Northwest Nazarene volleyball showed a great effort against a nationally-ranked team, battling with No. 15 Western Washington until the end but falling 3-1.

How It Happened

- Western Washington came out strong, taking the first set with ease, 25-13.
- NNU bounced back in set two, coming out on top of a very tight 27-25 decision. The Vikings held a 25-24 lead late, but kills from Molly Anderson and Natalie Sullivan gave the Nighthawks the set point before Anderson won it with an ace.
- The Nighthawks came out strong in set three, racing out to a 9-1 lead. NNU still led 17-10 later in the set, but WWU went on a 15-5 run from there to take the set 25-22.
- Set four was very close all the way through, with neither team leading by more than three or four points. Tied at 22 late in the frame, Western Washington scored the final three points to take the set and the match.
