SAN FRANCISCO - The Division II Conference Commissioner's Association released the West Region awards on Tuesday, with Northwest Nazarene's Madison Grande earning Second Team All-Region honors.

Grande had a breakout season for the Nighthawks with 19 total points, tying for second in the GNAC with nine goals and ranking second with 62 shots. The shots mark and her 30 shots on goal are both new program records. Her nine goals also tied for fifth in program history for a single season.

Grande was also one of six unanimous selections to the All-GNAC First Team.

Seattle Pacific's Makena Rietz was named the regional player of the year, leading eight GNAC members on the All-Region squads.

The D2CCA All-West Region teams were voted on by sports information directors from the GNAC, PacWest and California Collegiate Athletics Association (CCAA) from a pool of nominated players from those three conferences. The 13 members of the All-West Region first team will now be placed on the national ballot for All-America consideration. The All-America teams will be released Wednesday, Dec. 7.
