NNU Stays Close with No. 10 WWU, Falls 1-0

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Northwest Nazarene women's soccer kept it very close on the road at No. 10 Western Washington, but fell 1-0 to the Vikings on Saturday.
 
How It Happened
  • WWU got on the board early, with Grace Eversaul tallying in the 14th minute.
  • NNU would attempt 11 shots and put six on frame, but the Viking keeper saved all six as WWU took the 1-0 victory.
Nighthawks Notes
  • Alexis Montoya played all 90 minutes in goal, making nine saves in a great effort.
  • McKenzie Buell and Madison Grande combined for seven of NNU's 11 shots, with Buell at four and Grande with three
  • All four of Buell's shots were on frame, accounting for two-thirds of the team's total.
