DUPONT, Wash. - The Northwest Nazarene women's golf team finished a two-day match at the Grisham Memorial Shootout, hosted by Saint Martin's.
In the first match of the year for the Nighthawks, they finished in eighth place shooting +42 over two rounds. NNU finished ahead of fellow GNAC members Western Washington (+43) and Saint Martin's (+44) while Seattle Pacific had a solid outing tying for first (+15) and Simon Fraser tied for third (+34).
At the end of the first day,
Caroline Caven was leading all NNU golfers, shooting a 73 (+1), four strokes ahead of
Avery Paul.
Carolyn Rose would take control in day two for the Nighthawks, finishing the round with a 75 (+3), +11 on the contest.
NNU will take the course again later this week at the SPU Invite at Druids Glen Golf Club in Covington, Wash.
