Graysen Huff Named Head Women's Golf Coach

| By:

NAMPA, Idaho - Northwest Nazarene Director of Athletics Paul Rush has announced the hiring of Graysen Huff as the next head coach of the NNU women's golf program.

Huff, a Boise native and former professional golfer, comes to NNU after a playing career that included six seasons at Auburn University and competition across multiple professional tours.

"We are thrilled to welcome Graysen to NNU. Throughout the process, it was clear that Graysen has a heart for developing student-athletes not only as golfers, but as people and followers of Christ. His commitment to Christian leadership and his desire to invest in the lives of our student-athletes align so well with who we are at NNU. I'm excited to see the impact he will have on our women's golf program and across our campus."
- Paul Rush, Director of Athletics

Huff competed professionally from 2021-24, making appearances on PGA TOUR Latin-America, PGA TOUR Americas, the Forme Tour and various mini tours. He earned status on PGA TOUR Latin-America after Monday qualifying for an event and finishing fifth.

Over his professional career, Huff competed in 43 PGA TOUR-sanctioned events and made the cut in 60 percent of those appearances. He also earned a professional mini-tour victory and reached a career-best ranking inside the top 1,500 of the Official World Golf Ranking.

Prior to turning professional, Huff spent six seasons as a member of the Auburn men's golf program from 2015-21. He helped the Tigers capture the 2018 SEC Championship and finished runner-up individually at the 2019 SEC Championship.

Huff concluded his Auburn career with a scoring average that ranked 13th in program history. He also earned Academic All-America recognition and was a finalist for the 2019 Byron Nelson Award, which recognizes a graduating senior for achievement in the classroom, on the course and in the community.

Faith and service were also important parts of Huff's collegiate experience. While at Auburn, he regularly participated in Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Christian Golf Fellowship and received multiple community service awards.

Before heading to Auburn, Huff was a standout golfer at Eagle High School. He helped the Mustangs win four team state championships while also capturing an individual state title. Huff added three American Junior Golf Association victories during his junior career and developed strong ties throughout the Treasure Valley golf community.

Huff graduated from Auburn in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in agricultural business and economics along with minors in sports coaching and leadership.

Since stepping away from professional golf in the fall of 2024, Huff has worked as a project manager for C&H Baseball in Star, Idaho, overseeing project planning, scheduling, logistics and installations across multiple locations, including work with Major League Baseball organizations.

Huff now returns to collegiate golf with the opportunity to lead a Nighthawk program that has seen several notable individual and team accomplishments in recent seasons.

The Nighthawks finished third at the GNAC Championships in both 2023 and 2024, while Elle McCord became the first women's golfer in program history to qualify for the NCAA West Regional in 2023. McCord was also named the GNAC Player of the Year and earned First Team All-GNAC honors that season.

In 2024, Madison Gridley earned First Team All-GNAC honors while Christine Cho was named to the Second Team. Cho followed with a historic 2024-25 season, earning First Team All-GNAC honors before finishing runner-up at the GNAC Championships. Her second-place finish matched the best conference championship finish in program history, while her four-over 148 was the best score by an NNU women's golfer at the GNAC Championships in Coeur d'Alene.

The Nighthawks are coming off a sixth-place finish at the 2026 GNAC Championships, where Caroline Caven led NNU with a 14th-place finish. Caven, Avery Paul and Terin Slemmer also earned GNAC All-Academic honors during the 2025-26 season.
