PORTLAND, Ore. - The Great Northwest Athletic Conference has announced their Pitcher of the Week for games from March 30th to April 4th and
Corbin Talley has earned the honor for the second time this season.
"Corbin was great last weekend. He pounded the strike zone all game and challenged hitters. He is getting better every week."
- Joe Schaefer, Head Coach
The redshirt junior tossed a complete game shutout as the Nighthawks swept Western Oregon last weekend. Talley gave up six hits and struck out eight batters while only walking two in a 4-0 win.Â
This scoreless outing brings Talley's season ERA to 1.71, opposing batting average to .206, and secured his seventh win of the year, all which lead the GNAC.Â
Talley's ERA is good enough for 12th in the NCAA
The Nighthawks are 27-11 overall and 17-3 in conference play, sitting atop the GNAC. They will take this next week off and will look forward to hosting Saint Martin's on April 17 and 18
