NAMPA, Idaho - For the second time this season, NCBWA has named
Corbin Talley as Division II West Region Pitcher of the Week.
This comes after another standout performance from the redshirt senior against Saint Martin's. Talley was near unhittable as he notched another complete-game shutout and only allowing two hits. Talley also collected a season high, 11 strikeouts en route to his eight win.
That scoreless outing brings his season ERA to 1.49 which leads teh GNAC by a healthy margin, the next closest being Cade Queen from MSUB with an ERA of 3.86, and is fifth in all of NCAA Division II.
Talley's efforts have helped bring the Nighthawks to a 30-12 overall record and a GNAC leading record of 20-4 and spot in the GNAC Tournament. They will hit the road to face off against second place MSUB this weekend and then return home for the final series against Central Washington before postseason play.
