IRVINE, Calif. – Northwest Nazarene women's soccer wrapped up the non-conference slate on Thursday afternoon with a 4-0 road defeat at the hands of Concordia University Irvine.
The Nighthawks fall to 1-3 on the year.
The Golden Eagles were able to convert their second chance of the game, with Bella Barrett scoring in the 17
th minute. CUI added another tally just before halftime, with Sarah Venegas notching a goal in the 43
rd.
CUI kept the pressure on in the second half and got two more late goals, coming from Elle Soleau in the 83
rd minute and Hailey Havican on a penalty in the 87
th.
NNU totaled six shots in the game and put three of them on frame.
Savanna Herz had all three attempts on target.
NNU will now open GNAC play at home next week, hosting Western Washington on Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. and Simon Fraser on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
