Men's Soccer Selected Fifth in GNAC Preseason Poll

PORTLAND, Ore. - The GNAC released the results of the 2025 Men's Soccer Preseason Coaches Poll on Wednesday, with Northwest Nazarene picked fifth out of the six teams.

NNU earned 15 points in the poll, eight ahead of Saint Martin's. Western Oregon tops the poll with 33 points and three first-place votes, followed by Western Washington with 27 points and one first-place vote, and Simon Fraser with 23 points and two first-place votes.

The Nighthawks finished in a three-way tie for third place in the GNAC standings a season ago, capping the year with an impressive victory over No. 14 Western Oregon at home.

The Nighthawks will head to Denver next week to open the regular season, visiting MSU Denver on Thursday, Sept. 4 and Colorado Christian on Saturday, Sept. 6. Conference play begins on Oct. 4 on the road at Seattle Pacific and wraps up at home against those same Falcons on Nov. 8. After that, the top three teams in the final conference standings will advance to the inaugural GNAC Men's Soccer Championships tournament from Nov. 13-15 in Burnaby, B.C.
