PORTLAND, Ore. - The GNAC released the 2025 Volleyball Preseason All-Conference Team on Wednesday afternoon, with Northwest Nazarene's Abby Black earning the accolade.

Black returns for her redshirt-junior season in 2025, a year after receiving All-GNAC honors for the first time in her career with an Honorable Mention nod. The outside hitter appeared in 99 sets in 2024, registering 282 kills (2.85 k/s) and 40 blocks (two solo, 38 assisted). 

She is one of 14 athletes named to the Preseason All-GNAC squad. Western Washington and Simon Fraser both lead the way with three honorees, while Central Washington and Alaska Fairbanks each have two. 

Black and the Nighthawks will open the regular season in California against Cal State San Bernardino on Sept. 4. The home opener will be on Sept. 11 against Colorado Mines, part of a three-day, six-team, 12-game tournament hosted in Nampa from the Sept. 11-13. GNAC play is set to begin on Sept. 18, with NNU opening conference action at home against Western Washington.
