Mulder Closes Out Season at NCAA Regionals

| By:
RIVERSIDE, Calif. - Benjamin Mulder of Northwest Nazarene men's golf closed out the 2024-25 campaign at the NCAA West/South Central Regional on Saturday, finishing in a tie for 52nd as an individual.

Mulder was impressive on the final day, shooting a four-under 68 that included six birdies. He was in a tie for 87th after rounds of +2 and +1 on Thursday and Friday, but his stellar final round propelled the sophomore up 35 spots in the final individual standings to finish at a one-under 215.

In order to move on to the NCAA Championships final tournament in Florida, Mulder would have needed to be one of the top two placers at the regional not on one of the five advancing teams. Those two spots went to Colorado State Pueblo's Agustin Pizzorno and Sonoma State's Cambron Nevill, who both tied for eighth at -9 for the weekend.

Mulder was the fourth NNU men's golfer to ever compete at NCAA Regionals, and his finish of 52nd out of 110 competitors is the best against a regional field in program history.

Mulder caps his great season that included being named the GNAC Golfer of the Year following a dominant individual title at the 2025 GNAC Championships.
