Nighthawks Battle Wind, Competition at CWU Invite

| By:
ELLENSBURG, Wash. – Northwest Nazarene track & field competed in the midst of very windy conditions at the CWU Wildcat Invitational over Friday and Saturday.

While the wind rendered a lot of the sprints and jumps mark unofficial in terms of personal records and top ten lists, the Nighthawks were still able to grab one NNU top ten mark and set two other personal bests.

Keelin Stewart grabbed the top ten mark, besting her seventh-place standing on the 3000m Steeplechase list with a time of 11:44.20. She also took first in the event at the invitational.

The other PRs came on the men's side, with Andrew Bargen hitting one in the steeplechase and Nolan Meek in the javelin.

Other event winners at the meet were Dylan Breuer in the men's collegiate 200m, Carter Stedman in the men's collegiate 1500m, and the women's 4x400m relay.

The Nighthawks have two more regular season meets before the GNAC Outdoor Championships, starting with a short trip to the Boise State Invite next Friday, April 25.
