Kye Dickson Earns All-District Honor from NABC

| By:
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced their All-District teams for men's basketball on Monday, with Northwest Nazarene's Kye Dickson earning a Second Team honor in the West.

This is Dickson's second All-Region/District award this year after also picking up Second Team honors from the D2CCA. He was also named the GNAC Newcomer of the Year and First Team All-GNAC. He is the first NNU player named All-Region/District since Ezekiel Alley in the 2020-21 season and fourth overall in the program's Division II history.

Dickson is one of just two GNAC players on the All-District Team for the West, with Central Washington's Cavin Holden on the First Team.

Dickson led the GNAC in scoring and tied for fourth in the West Region at 18.5 points per game. He was also third in the GNAC and fifth in the region with 8.1 rebounds per game and led the conference and ranked fourth regionally with 142 made free throws.

The junior from Toronto scored in double figures in all but one game during the regular season, coming all the way back on Nov. 15 when he had just seven points in the win over Northern State. He scored over 20 points ten times this year, including a 31-point effort in the win over Biola on Dec. 20. Dickson has tallied 10 double-doubles this year, tied for the second-most for an NNU player since joining DII, and most since Maurice Jones also had 10 double-doubles in 2017-18.

Dickson helped lead the Nighthawks to one of their most successful seasons in the program's 25-year Division II history during the 2024-25 year. NNU tied its DII wins record with 20 and reached the NCAA Regional for the third time in the last five seasons.
