Late Equalizer Earns Draw for NNU against Seattle Pacific

NAMPA, Idaho – Northwest Nazarene women's soccer converted a late equalizer to earn a 1-1 draw with Seattle Pacific on Thursday afternoon.

The Nighthawks move to 1-3-1 in GNAC play and 2-6-1 overall.

The Falcons scored their goal in the 28th minute of play, with Ashlyn Valdovinos sneaking a shot inside the near post to put SPU up 1-0.

Seattle Pacific held that lead all the way until the final four minutes of the match. Savanna Herz took a shot from outside the box that clanged off the crossbar and fell right to the feet of Kaslee Roskelley, who fired the ball into the back of the net for her second goal of the season.

Roskelley's goal was the Nighthawks' only attempt on target in the game, with SPU holding a 19-6 advantage in shots.

The draw is the first tie in the all-time series between NNU and SPU.

The Nighthawks remain home this Saturday, hosting Montana State Billings at 10:00 a.m. in Nampa.
