MONMOUTH, Ore. – Northwest Nazarene women's soccer went toe-to-toe with No. 14 Western Oregon on Saturday, narrowly falling to the Wolves by a final score of 1-0.
WOU's goal came early in the contest, as the Wolves' Kaitlin Taylor scored in just the tenth minute of action.
The Nighthawks had eight shots and put three of them on frame, but none were able to get past the keeper for an equalizer.
Alex Barrass played all 90 minutes in goal, registering six saves.
Ellie Ritter had three of NNU's shots, while
Ali Adkins added a pair of attempts.
NNU returns home for two GNAC matches next week, hosting Seattle Pacific on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. and Montana State Billings on Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
