MONMOUTH, Ore. – Northwest Nazarene men's soccer battled to a scoreless draw at Western Oregon on Saturday.
The Nighthawks move to 5-3-4 overall and 2-1-2 in GNAC play, tied with Seattle Pacific for second in the conference with eight points.
The Wolves had more opportunities in the first half with six shots to three for the Nighthawks. Things flipped in the second period, with NNU registering seven shots and WOU just two. NNU held the advantage in shots on target at 4-2.
The Nighthawks managed to keep the Wolves off the board despite playing a man down over the final 13 minutes of action after
Jorge Gonzalez picked up a second yellow that turned into a red card.
NNU remains on the road for a pair of games next week, visiting Western Washington on Thursday and Simon Fraser on Saturday.
