NAMPA, Idaho - Northwest Nazarene women's soccer defeated Central Washington 1-0 on Thursday night for their first win of the season.
In the 52nd minute,
Alejandra Jaramillo took a shot that hit the crossbar and bounced down in front of the goal.
Attie Jo Westbrook was in the right place at the right time to knock the ball into the back of the net.
The goal was the first of Westbrook's career at the collegiate level.
Alex Barrass also recorded her first career shutout in goal.
The Nighthawks controlled possession, peppering the Wildcats' goalie with over 20 shots.
NNU next faces off on Saturday at 1 pm against Western Oregon, wrapping up their six-game homestand to start the season.
