NNU Revealed as Runner-Up in GNAC Academic All-Sports Standings

PORTLAND, Ore. - The GNAC announced the 2023-24 Academic All-Sports awards on Monday, with Northwest Nazarene Athletics finishing second overall, including second on the men's side and third on the women's side.

Saint Martin's took the overall academic title with 136 points, followed by the Nighthawks at 125. Central Washington (118), Seattle Pacific (116), and Western Washington (111.67) round out the top five.

The Nighthawks' men finished second with 56 points, just two back of Saint Martin's at 58. The women placed third with 69 points, with Saint Martin's and Central Washington tying for the top spot at 78 points apiece.

On the individual team level, NNU had three second-place finishes and one third-place result, with both golf programs and both soccer programs garnering the four top-three finishes. Men's Golf (3.10 GPA) and Women's Golf (3.27 GPA) were both second, while Men's Soccer (3.40 GPA) was second and women's soccer (3.54 GPA) was third.

In the history of the GNAC and its academic all-sports awards, the Nighthawks have finished in the top half of the conference in all 23 years, including seven overall championships.
