PORTLAND, Ore. - The Great Northwest Athletic Conference has released the 2026 Softball All-GNAC teams. Six Nighthawks earned a spot on the teams while
Miah Lusk headlines, earning GNAC Pitcher of the Year honors.
Miah Lusk - GNAC Pitcher of the Year
Miah Lusk was named the GNAC Pitcher of the Year and was a unanimous All-GNAC first-team selection. The sophomore for Pocatello, Idaho was flat out dominant pitching 131.1 inning with a GNAC-best, 2.61 ERA. Lusk finished the regular season with a 16-7 record, 12 complete games, adding two saves as well . She led the GNAC in multiple categories such as ERA, opposing batting average (.202), and strike outs (159). The second year ace is adding to her impressive collegiate career after being named the Freshman of the Year and the All-GNAC second-team for the 2025 season.
Emma Bumatay and
Ava Clark were also named to the first team. Bumatay earns a spot after hitting .357 this season with 56 hits. Bumatay leads the conference in RBIs with 55 and is second with 12 home runs. She proved to be one of the best defenders in the GNAC posting a .994 fielding percentage with 330 putouts. The senior from Fresno, California jumped up the NNU record books, holding the third most home runs and fifth most RBIs in program history.
Ava Clark led the team in batting average with .366, starting every game for the Nighthawks. The third-year center fielder posted a .530 on-base percentage and scored the third most runs in the league with 56. Serving as NNU's leadoff bat, she worked 47 walks, the most in the conference. Clark had an OPS of 1.130 and was tied for the GNAC lead in triples with four. She also slugged .600, leaving the yard five times this season while stealing 34 bags.Â
Keana Bell earned a spot on the second-team for the second straight year. Bell, a junior from Las Vegas, Nevada, hit .350 this season while starting every game at the hot corner. Bell hit ten home runs which is second on the team and tied third in the conference and led the team in slugging out of all qualified players with a slugging percentage of .613. She totaled 47 RBIs while scoring 28 runs herself.
Jami Obringer put together her best season of her four-year career, earning second-team honors. Obringer hit a career high .355 in 51 games played. In her senior campaign, Obringer was lethal on the bases, stealing 43 bases without getting caught once. Those 43 stolen bases puts her at the top of the NNU single season record books, passing Ivy Hommel in 2021 with 27. Additonally, Obringer broke the NNU career stolen base record with 87 stolen bases in four years, beating the previous record held by Cassidy Fifield with 75 from 2016-19.
Jami Obringer now sits at two steals away from the GNAC single season record and three away from the GNAC career record with the GNAC Tournament still to play. Obrigner's base running paid off as she scored 57 runs, which is tied for the most in the GNAC. She tallied 54 runs with four doubles, one triple, and five homers.Â
Riley McGee rounds out the All-Conference teams with an Honorable Mention selection. This is McGee's time making an All-Conference team and she does so after after posting a 3.55 ERA with a 10-5 record.Â
