NAMPA, Idaho – NNU Volleyball hosted Alaska Fairbanks in a competitive 3 set match. The Nighthawks and Nanooks both put up great fights but the Nanooks were able to pull through and take the win, 3-0.
NNU is recorded at 4-9 for GNAC play and 7-14 for the overall season.
The Nighthawks found themselves in a tough matchup against the Nanooks. Despite NNU's ability to keep all three sets close, they were unable to pull out a win. We saw an impressive offensive showing by the Nanooks, recording 44 kills and a hitting percentage of .269. This was the tipping factor in UAF's ability to take the win. The set scores were 25-16, 25-20, and 25-21 in favor of UAF.
Miya Koch recorded 16 kills during the game leading the Nighthawks offensively. She partnered up with Gabi Moore who had 28 assists. On defense Kacyi Spray led with 11 digs.
NNU will host their second game of the week as the Nighthawks and the Alaska Anchorage Seawolves compete on Saturday. The matchup is scheduled for 1:00 pm in the Johnson Sports Center.
