NAMPA – Northwest Nazarene Director of Athletics
Paul Rush is excited to announce a campaign for a new addition on campus, the
Rob Roberts Training Facility.
The new 22,000-square-foot building will provide additional indoor practice space for our student-athletes, particularly softball, baseball, and golf, while simultaneously opening up the JSC Fieldhouse. The facility addition will benefit all students on our campus, creating the potential to grow enrollment through increased student life events and activities in the Fieldhouse space, including both curricular and co-curricular.
"The Rob Roberts Training Facility will be a great addition to our campus community and the overall student experience," said Andy Cornelius, Director of Campus Life. "Having a dedicated space for the baseball, softball, and golf teams will open our current facilities to edify our intramural sport and recreation programs. With the addition of the new facility, and the increase of space for the non-athlete student, this provides a tangible way for NNU to transform the whole student by encouraging them to maintain a healthy lifestyle."
The Rob Roberts Training Facility will be the largest facility of its type in the state of Idaho. Part of the facility will feature an elite golf training center, separating NNU from other Division II universities.
NNU Athletics would love to have you partner with us as we transform the lives of our students and student-athletes. Rob Roberts, owner of R&M Steel, generously donated the steel for the Nighthawks Training Facility, and through multiple generous lead donors, we have raised $2.5 million and are just $500,000 away from our goal.
Also, because of some amazing donors we are able to match your donation 1 to 1, up to $500,000. We invite you to partner with us as we strive to reach the finish line and break ground in the summer of 2025.
"Within NNU Athletics, we are working to create more Transformational Space," said Rush. "It will have a reverberating impact on our mission, and because of your partnership with us, that effect is expanding. Thank you again for all of the ways you support NNU and our students."
