BILLINGS, Montana – NNU volleyball made the trip to Billings this week to compete against the Yellowjackets. In a quick three set game the Nighthawks took the victory.
NNU moves to 7-11 on the season and 4-6 in GNAC play as the head into the weekend.
The Nighthawks took the first set with a score of 25-20. Beating out the Yellowjackets offensively, the Nighthawks recorded 14 kills compared to the opponents 10.
In the second set NNU came out just as strong, edging MSB with 12 kills and a hitting percentage of .375. In another close set the Nighthawks took it with a score of, 25-17.
To finish the game NNU recorded a third set win of 25-12 to secure the sweep.
Abby Black led her team with 14 kills pairing up with Gabi Moore who had 17 assists. Kayci Spray led defensively, contributing 12 digs.
NNU will travel to Washington as we head into the weekend to compete against Seattle Pacific University. First serve is scheduled for Saturday the 26th at 2 p.m. pacific time.
