Women's Soccer adds Holm and Littleton to Staff

| By:
NAMPA, Idaho - As the 2023 season gets underway, Northwest Nazarene women's soccer has added two assistant coaches to the program in Hannah Holm and Mitchell Littleton.

Holm and Littleton will assist John Hawks, who will serve as the Interim Head Coach for this season and will be the main point of contact for the NNU women's soccer program. Mary (Trigg) Ybarguen enters her 11th season as head coach for the Nighthawks in the fall of 2023. During this fall, however, Ybarguen will be stepping back into a lesser role as she is due to welcome a new baby into the world in September.

Holm is no stranger to Nampa, having been a member of the NNU women's soccer team for three years from 2015-17. Upon graduation, she spent two years as a graduate assistant with the Black Hills State University women's program in 2018 and 2019.

The Spokane Valley, Washington native played in 39 games during her NNU career, recording four goals and eight assists. As a sophomore in her first season in Nampa, she was named the GNAC Newcomer of the Year. During her senior year, Holm was named Honorable Mention All-GNAC and helped lead the team to the program's best finish up to that point, going 11-7 overall and 8-4 in GNAC play to reach the GNAC tournament for the first time.

Holm graduated from Northwest Nazarene in 2018 with a degree in Sport Management and Recreation, with an emphasis in coaching and athletic training. She then earned a master's degree in Strategic Leadership from Black Hills State in 2020.

Littleton joins the Nighthawks as goalkeeper coach, having coached four years at the club level and is currently also the head goalkeeper coach for Indie Chicas.

He is a Certified Interscholastic Coach through NFHS and has his US Soccer E/F License. He has also officiated soccer for nearly 20 years including at the collegiate and semi-professional level, and played collegiately for two years but was forced into early retirement due to recurring knee injuries.

For the last 12 years, Littleton has served in the United States Army and National Guard in a variety of roles including as a combat medic and intelligence analyst, as well as becoming trained as a Master Resilience Trainer and Fitness Trainer.

Littleton recently earned his Masters in Public Administration from Liberty University, received his B.A. in Public Administration at George Mason University, and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Biblical Exposition.
