LUBBOCK, Texas – Northwest Nazarene men's soccer fell 1-0 to Lubbock Christian in their final game before GNAC play.
The Nighthawks' record is now 2-3-1
NNU applied pressure early with a shot on goal by
Zakaria Daaou in the second minute of the game. LCU answered with a shot of their own in the fourth minute and scored the only goal of the match in the fifth minute.
NNU put four shots on goal in the first half and four shots on goal in the second half, but none snuck through to the back of the net. Seven different Nighthawks put shots on goal, one of which was goalkeeper
Sawyer Price.
Jim Wagenaar was the only Nighthawk to put more than one shot on goal.
The Nighthawks have next week off to prepare for GNAC conference play. Their GNAC schedule begins at home with a test against Seattle Pacific on Thursday, September 28
th.
