Nighthawks Open GNAC Schedule with 1-1 Draw

NAMPA, Idaho – Northwest Nazarene men's soccer opened their GNAC schedule with a 1-1 draw against Seattle Pacific on Thursday evening.
 
The Nighthawks' record is now 2-3-2 overall and 0-0-1 in GNAC play.
 
The Nighthawks struck first with a goal in the 30th minute to go up 1-0. Jim Wagenaar scored the goal, and it was assisted by Alan Soto Ortiz. This was Wagenaar's fourth goal of the season and Soto Ortiz's first assist.
 
Seattle Pacific evened the score at 1-1 just after halftime.
 
Sawyer Price played all 90 minutes in the net for the Nighthawks and recorded three saves. Jorge Gonzalez, Jonathan Cardona, and Jakob Avila all played the entire 90 minutes. Johnny Ramirez and Zakaria Daaou were the only two other Nighthawks to put shots on goal.
 
The Nighthawks next match is at home against Western Washington on Saturday.
